  13. Take 2 1/2 tbsp Icing sugar

Notes: *A swiss roll - a cake which includes flour in the mixture - should be rolled into shape while still warm. It's the flour which gives it this pliability. Then roll the cake WHILE HOT and cool it in that position. While hot the cake is much more pliable; a roll will be nice and tight and less prone to cracking.

Steps to make Kiwi swiss roll cake:
  1. To make Sponge sheet, you need following materials shown in pictures.
  2. Add eggs in a bowl and beat well, following add sugar,oil,vanilla essence, baking powder and flour. Mix well together to make smooth batter.
  3. Now take 1/4 part out of batter and add green food colour. Mix well. Pour into piping bag and clip tightly.
  4. Greas sheet pan, cover with butter paper and make design.
  5. Preheat oven for 10 minutes. Bake this batter design for 3 minutes at 180°C.
  6. Now add leftover batter on this baked design and bake for 15-20 minutes at 180°C.
  7. Flip over the side, remove butter paper. Roll the cake gently by covering with butter paper and cling film. Keep aside to get room temperature.
  8. In a bowl add chilled whipping cream and whisk until getting frothy. Add icing sugar and vanilla essence. Keep whisking to get stiff peaks.
  9. Divide this whipped cream into 2 portions. To one portion add green colour and mix gently. Slice one kiwi as shown in picture.
  10. Apply green frosting on cake sheet when it gets normal temperature. Arrange kiwi slices as in the picture.
  11. Fold cake sheet gently into roll. Again cover with butter paper and cling film. Keep in fridge for 8 hours or overnight to settle it down.
  12. Decorate with cream frosting and kiwi and enjoy

Then roll the cake WHILE HOT and cool it in that position. While hot the cake is much more pliable; a roll will be nice and tight and less prone to cracking. Once cooled, you can unroll the cake, ice, and re-roll. Place a piece of parchment paper on a flat surface and sprinkle lightly with cocoa powder. Flip the cake onto the parchment, then remove the parchment or silicone mat that the cake baked on.
